Dallas Restaurant Shooting Leaves Suspect on the Loose

Posted By D'Amore Law Firm || 9-Oct-2012

Today one person was killed and another was injured in a horrific restaurant shooting near Dallas, Texas. Reporters claim that the incident happened at about 2:45 at Hunan Wok, a Chinese food restaurant in North Richland Hills. The man entered the restaurant angry with a gun in his hand, and show at two men. The police say that the shooting is likely an isolated incident and that the general public should not fear that the shooter is a public danger. They believe that the enraged shooter had a history with the men that he shot. It is unclear if the victims were employees or customers at this present time, and it is not known how many people were inside the eatery when the horrific incident took place. Because the shooter was not caught, chances are that the police will be investigating the incident.

This means that they may arrest a number of suspects that could have been the shooter and then do a line-up with the surviving victim to see if he can determine who the actual assailant was. When a criminal is not caught at the scene of the crime, it can facilitate some serious misunderstandings. An innocent person who fits the profile of the killer may be arrested and brought to the sheriff station to participate in the line-up. Chances are that witnesses were terrified at the time of the accident, and they may not remember clearly who the killer was. When pressured to make a decision, they may chose the wrong person. If you are at risk to this horrible danger, then talk to a criminal defense attorney. Explain that you have been arrested for a crime that you did not commit and need expert representation.
